SACRAMENTO, CA (WALB) - Albany Ruff Riders track club returning from the United States Track and Field Junior Olympics in Sacramento California with two national titles.
Former Monroe track star Sir Paul Jones won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 52.69. .
Jones finished in 8th in the 110 meter hurdles. Sir Paul Jones was the AAA boys track athlete of the year in Georgia. Earlier in the week, Monroe's Mimieux Land won the high jump for the 16 and under age division. Mitchell County's Justin Scott-Wesley was third in the 100 meters.
The Ruff Riders four by 100 relay team finished second in the nation with Jones, Scott-Wesley, Broderick Snoddy and Jonquavus Hill running for the team.
