ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A tractor trailer truck driver walked away from an accident that happened just south of the airport around 6:00 Sunday evening.

Dougherty County Police say Donta Turnbull was driving west on Leary road when an eastbound car crossed over the center line. He swerved to avoid the car, jack-knifed, and overturned in the ditch.

"If you want to miss a vehicle on a two-lane road, you don't have a lot of room so everybody needs to pay close attention to make sure you watch out for the next person," said Dougherty County Police Officer, Tamiko Whitlock.

The driver, who was hauling paper products from Procter and Gamble, suffered minor injuries. He told officers the driver of the other car kept going and he did not have a chance to get a description of the vehicle.
