ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A south Georgia motorcycle club got off their bikes this weekend to give back to the community.

For couple hours Sunday afternoon the Viper Unit Motorcycle Club gave away hundreds of school supplies to area students at C.W. Heath park on Albany's east side.

Volunteers packed the bags with pencils, paper and spiral notebooks.

Club members say riding is fun but being able to give back is just as gratifying.

"We have a few teachers in our bike club, so what they usually do is give us the list of the things they'll use this school year and we'll get the supplies and pass it out accordingly," said Cambrell Adams, Viper Unit, Public Relations Officer.

This is the third year the Viper Unit Motorcycle Club has hosted the back to school event.
