DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA (WALB) – America's night out against crime kicked off a bit early in south Georgia.
Friday night hundreds of people gathered at Radium Springs Middle School for Dougherty County Police Night Out.
The crime and drug prevention event featured games and giveaways. Officers hope it will strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
Most of the nation will take part in the 27th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday.
