Cook County, GA (WALB) – A 14 year old shot and killed his 13 year brother in their Hemp Springs Circle home, near Adel.

Their father was at the doctor’s office, and the boys got into the family’s safe, where a 9 millimeter gun was kept.

The younger boy was shot in the face. His body was found in the living room of the home. He was dead when EMTs arrived.

Authorities are trying to determine whether it was an accident or murder. The incident happened about 1:00 Thursday afternoon.
