Albany- Staff Sergeant Andrew Detrick proposed to his girlfriend, Randa Schrieber, Wednesday afternoon. He met Randa on a visit to Cracker Barrel Restaurant where she was a waitress.

After a one-year courtship, Detrick knew he wanted to propose to Randa at Chehaw Park with help from his fellow marines.

Randa Schrieber says, "I am so happy. He is the man of my dreams." Staff Sergeant Andrew Detrick says, "I just want her to know how much planning this took and that I love her so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

The couple plans to get married in about a year.
