A new mid-year study by portfolio-dot-com show Georgia has the sixth weakest state economy.
That's mainly because of our high unemployment.
Steven Mohl was unemployed until three months ago Doughnut Factory when the Doughnut Factory opened. The store now employees ten people.
Mohl was having a hard time finding a job in South Georgia.
In the last year and a half, Georgia has lost about 75-thousand jobs. As for Albany's unemployment rate, it's still high at 11-percent compared
with 10.4-percent in May and 9.8-percent in June of last year.
