VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –South Georgia Medical Center got a big donation from Kohl's Wednesday.

The department store chain presented the Valdosta hospital's foundation with a check for almost $45,000 raised selling stuffed animals and books.

They money will go to children's programs such as Hospice of South Georgia's Bereavement camp and children's bike safety.

" Oh Wow," said Elizabeth Vickers with the SGMC Foundation. "We're just flabergasted. I think last year we got $15,000. This is an extreme increase and we're really grateful."
