TIFTON, GA (WALB) –Tift County authorities discovered the body of a Valdosta man who was hit by a train.

Officers were checking out an abandoned vehicle near the intersection of Red Oak and Cromer Roads in northern Tift county when they found the body of 27-year old Joshua Sollomen near train tracks.

They say he had been hit by a train.

Investigators don't suspect a crime but they're not sure why Sollomen was on the tracks.
