ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Albany Police uncovered a marijuana grow house Tuesday night. Officers responded to a call about a burglary in progress at 1506 West Lincoln Avenue around 9:30. The burglars broke through a back window that was covered with plywood to hide the bright grow lights.

When police looked inside, they saw marijuana and called drug agents who got a search warrant. ADDU Commander Major Bill Berry says three rooms were filled with 40 to 50 plants ranging from three to six feet tall.

The initial responding officers got into a foot chase with the burglary suspects. We know several people were taken into custody.
