The Lovett Lions roared into Albany and scored a 2-0 win over Westover in the AAA state soccer semifinals at the Patriots home field.

The Lions scored their two goals in the first ten minutes of the game.

Brad Brizendine scored the first goal in the fourth minute and got an assist on a header by Mat Barnwell.

The Patriots, who lost in last year's semifinals, finish the season at 17-2-1.

Lovett plays number one ranked Cartersville in the finals.
