8-year-old stabbed

An 8-year old girl was stabbed in the abdomen with a kitchen knife a little before nine o'clock in the 700 block of Crawford Drive... That's just off Radium Springs Road in south Albany.

Police took another girl into custody... But investigators have not told us what they think led to the stabbing.

We don't know the girl's condition... But her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
