ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  A yard sale at an Albany restaurant is helping an employee there who's battling cancer.

Golden Corral manager Shirley Davis is undergoing treatment for lung cancer. The Albany restaurant held the first of two fund raisers Friday to help her pay her medical bills. People were at the sale in the restaurant parking lot early snapping up items include a grill and table and chairs. Many just donated money.

"Friday a lot of the customers just showed up and just donated money out here without buying anything or taking stuff with them," said Nancy Roberson, Event Organizer.

Saturday the Hooters girls along with Drawdy Roofing and several other businesses are coming together for a car wash to raise more money.  It starts at 9:00 AM at Golden Coral.
