ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State's HPER Gym will host the 2nd annual Albany Legends Game Saturday night.
The contest is a match up between the best players from the 90's against the best players from 2000 and beyond.
Most of the players played division one and a handful even have professional experience.
Albany State head coach Chris Cameron loves getting everyone back together.
Cameron hopes the star studded line ups will be able to inspire Albany's youth.
"The mission of the game is to educate to entertain and to inspire the community and that's what we're doing. We're also doing a free basketball camp and a youth seminar that morning from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m." said Cameron.
Last year the younger players won with a late three point basket.
Albany State head coach Chris Cameron plays for the older team and he wants revenge.
"We've had the whole year to kind of think about that and so this year the old school guys yeah we do want a little revenge you know we want to get that claim to fame where old school is the best and so the new school guys aren't gonna let us just walk in the gym and take that" said Cameron.
The Albany Legends game will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a three point shootout and a dunk contest. Both competitions are open to the general public but space is limited.
