ALBANY,  GA (WALB) –  The clerk who was held hostage by armed robbers at the Family Dollar store July 12, is now charged with armed robbery.

Police say Jamaica Harris Jones conspired with the two gunmen to rob the store.

Jones charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and armed robbery. She was arrested at 2:00AM today.

Two APD officers were in the parking lot working a car accident when they were tipped about the robbery inside the Family Dollar store on West Gordon Avenue.

APD Officer Christopher Hutcherson shot 20-year-old Christopher Raines once in the groin, after Raines pointed a shotgun at the other officer.

20-year-old Randell Harris and Raines were caught by police after a short chase.

Raines was armed with a sawed off shotgun. Harris had a plastic toy pistol.
