ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Former Dougherty District Attorney Ken Hodges is the Democratic nominee for state Attorney General.

Hodges easily defeated State Representative Rob Teilhet. Theirs was a hard fought and often negative campaign. Hodges, with a background as a prosecutor, Teilhet, a lawyer who served as a State Representative. Hodges, who now lives in Atlanta is a happy man and is part of a big victory party tonight in Atlanta.

"I feel very good, I've had great support all over the state the numbers are coming in I'm winning uniformly all across the state and the people of the state have gone to show that this is about experience, not about politics it's about seeking justice, not about seeking office," said Ken Hodges, Democratic nominee for state Attorney General.

Hodges will face the winner of the Republican primary in November.
