CORDELE, GA (WALB) –A Cordele resident hit the jackpot when he scratched off a one million dollar lottery ticket.

Today representatives met the 32-year old lumber salesman at the gas station where he won and presented him with the one million dollar check.

Mike Patel says he's gotten used to customers winning big money from scratch off tickets at his store, but he's never had a customer win one million dollars.

That is until 32-year old Bradley Hunter Walked in.

Hunter says he and his friend stopped at the store to pick up a drink and he redeemed a free ticket when he got one of the biggest shocks yet. "I stopped right here and scratched it off, I kind of had to look at it three or four times to make sure," said Hunter.

The big money is still a shock to some. "I just cant imagine scratching one million on a scratch card, it's beyond me," said Brent Hunter, Brad's brother.

But today it became more of a reality when representatives from the Georgia lottery handed Hunter a huge one million dollar check

But just because he's a millionaire now he says things wont change, He plans to continue to work in the lumber business in Cordele and save most of the money.
