Tift County gets new school

Tifton- Tift County held a dedication and open house for the new Annie Belle Clark Primary School Sunday.

Annie Belle Clark was a longtime educator in Tifton. Because of the increase in students in primary grades in the county, the school was created to lower class sizes.

Superintendent, Harold Abbott says, "Our primary grades were really increasing and we were even using portables. This new school will helps us tremendously."

Tifton is using tax money and special funds from the state government to build the nearly eight million dollar primary school.
