ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Thieves targeted a home in Albany. Police believe the burglars hit the home because a man who owned it committed suicide several months ago.

Neighbors on 11th avenue say they heard two loud booms around midnight last night. Those booms were the crooks breaking in the house.

Police say antique pistols inside are missing, but they did recover an Atlanta Braves baseball bat and jerseys.

One neighbor says he's already had a problem with thieves stealing two lawn mowers from his own porch.

"I don't like it one bit," said neighbor Donnie Robine. "We heard a couple booms over here last night but we didn't know anything was going on and I think it's pure pathetic because of the way the neighborhood is getting hit."

Officers collected and evidence dusted for prints but no arrests have been made in the case.
