ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Transplant recipients and people who need a transplant will have a wealth of resources available to them on Saturday.

Workers with the Albany-Area organ transplant community are preparing for a Trends in Transplant Conference.

It's sponsored by the Georgia Transplant Foundation and designed to provide transplant candidates, recipients, and living donors information about financing, nutrition resources and more.

"They'll be a lot of information about how to stay well, those who are on the waiting list sometimes feel forgotten we hope they'll come to get encouragement," said Sandy McMath, Dir. of Patient Services, Georgia Transplant Foundation.

Registration starts at 8:30 AM Saturday at the Phoebe Putney Learning Center at 4th and Jefferson.
