Albany- The South West Georgia Coucil on Aging hosted a picnic at Chehaw Park for about one hundred seniors Friday.

Many council members say this event gives senior citizens a chance to enjoy food, music and the outdoors.

Helen Coates says, "Sometimes you learn a lot of things about people you didn't know and being out in the open is fun too."

This is the twenty-fifth year the council on aging has hosted the picnic.
