ALBANY, GA (WALB) –   A 29 year old Albany man is convicted of slashing the throat of the mother of his baby, while two of her children watched.

A Dougherty County jury found Mark White guilty of aggravated assault, burglary, and two counts of child abuse today.

Prosecutors say September 12th White broke into Alisha Lyons home on Swift Street, and cut her throat while her 2 and 7 year old daughters watched.

Lyons survived, but has a huge scar and medical problems.

White will be sentenced at a later date.
