ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Witnesses testified that a fist fight between gang members' girlfriends led to the shootout between the Southside Bloods and the Crips at South Albany's Carver Pool last summer that left one man wounded.

Testimony started today in the trial of Tchywaskie Jones, Dabkowski Luke, and Jerry Harris.

Witnesses said girlfriends of the two gangs started fighting on June 16, 2009, and Luke's baby was hit in the face. Then men from the two gangs started firing shots, with dozens of people leaving the community pool close by.

Donald Winchester was wounded. The trial is expected to continue Monday, and last at least until midweek.
