VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Valdosta State men's basketball team has joined the football team in being named the Gulf South Conference's team of the decade.
The Blazers men's team narrowly beating out West Georgia for the honor.
VSU guard Tyrone Curnell was a first team all-decade selection and former Lowndes Viking Jon Rogers was a second team pick.
VSU Lady Blazer head coach Kiley Hill is named the east division coach of the decade.
Hill led the Lady Blazers to four east division titles in ten years.
Former Lowndes Vikette Tracy Sprodlen is a first team all-decade selection and guard Carley Peterson made the second team.
