Albany-- Some Albany seniors got a little help with the college tuition.

The Albany Rotary Club awarded seven deserving students $1,200 dollar college scholarships. Dougherty High senior Tenecia Plummer and Deerfield-Windsor senior Thomas Jordan both plan to use the money for tuition and books.

"It's very helpful. I don't have to worry about tuition. I will start ASU and I have to pay a fee, I don't have to worry about that I have something to help me out," says Plummer. Jordan says, "I'm very honored, and I thank the Rotary Club for all they've done for students like me."

Thomas plans to study pre-medicine at Berry College. Tenecia wants to major in mathematics at Albany State University.
