ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Dozens of people in Albany had something to celebrate.
Pearly's held a cancer benefit for Carol Abbot. She's been an employee at Pearly's for 28 years.
In March she was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer which has improved to stage two.
The P and G band along with other musical guests performed uplifting songs. The event was a surprise to Abbot.
"I never thought of this because we pulled a sneak on my husband for his birthday but I didn't think they would pull anything secret on me," said Carol Abbot.
Abbot will return to Chemotherapy in a couple weeks. To make a donation, drop it off at the Pearly's restaurant on north Slappey Boulevard in Albany.
