Man arrested for stealing deodorant and underwear

ALBANY,  GA (WALB) – A man is in the Dougherty county jail this Monday morning charged with burglarizing an Albany business. Albany police arrested 29-year-old Victor Roberts in the 1100 block of Whitney Avenue. They say he broke into the Bargain Town on Slappey Blvd early this morning and stole a lot of merchandise.

Around 3:30 three police officers and the store manager were already inside looking at surveillance video at Bargain Town.

Glass shattered everywhere when police say Roberts threw a huge rock through the front door window and took deodorant, underwear, and a few other random items before taking off.

Before Bargain Town was hit, the Warehouse Package store was broken into sometime before 11.

You can see where the bottom glass window was shattered. Once inside the thief stole cigars before running away.

Roberts hasn't been charged in the Warehouse Package burglary. Both cases are under investigation and police are trying to determine if the two are connected. They are also investigating to see if Roberts had anything to do with last week's odd burglary at the Dollar General where deodorant was also taken.
