ALBANY, GA (WALB) -When former Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch returns home to Albany he doesn't usually get to stay long. He hopes the message he leaves for Albany's youth will last a lifetime.
Branch starred at Monroe High School. Saturday he was back at Hugh Mills Stadium for the 5th annual Deion Branch Kids Camp.
The Seattle Seahawks receiver teamed up with several of his former Monroe teammates to lead dozens of kids in football drills. There was also a cheerleading clinic.
Branch loves teaching kids the game but says the most important lesson he can teach is about life.
"The coaches spend about five minutes lecturing them on doing the right things at school, at home, listen to your parents you know being young gentleman young females doing the right things and staying out of trouble staying out of the streets staying away from drugs that is the main thing" said Branch.
Branch is a two time Super Bowl Champion and was named MVP of Super Bowl XXXIX. He is entering his 9th season in the NFL and his 5th with Seattle.
