Albany -- The 17-year old girl, shot by her brother at the East Albany mobile home park Tuesday, is listed as stable at a local hospital.

18 year old William Spence is in the Dougherty County Jail, being held on aggravated assault charges. Spence had his first appearance before a Judge Wednesday morning, and no bond was set for him.

Police say Spence shot his sister, Jennifer, Tuesday afternoon through the door of their family's trailer. They had been quarreling over chores.

Spence fired four times, hitting his sister once in the abdomen. William Spence stayed inside the home with his two younger sisters, until Police negotiators talked him into giving himself up.
