By Tayleigh Davis - bio | email ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A brush fire threatened a Lee County home Thursday evening. Smoke billowed into the air near Highway 195 north of Leesburg.
Lee County Firefighters and the Forestry Commission responded to the call before 7:00 p.m.
They say a burn pile got out of control. People who live nearby were worried. Firefighters kept the fire from spreading to the one home it was near. No one was at that home and no one was hurt.
