ALBANY, GA (WALB) - When the Albany Panthers host Louisiana in the first round of the Southern Indoor Football League playoffs on Saturday, Panther fans are going to see some new players in uniform.

Some loyal fans may need rosters since Saturday's playoff game is the first home game for the Panthers since Memorial Day weekend.

One area the Panthers have made changes is in the offensive line.

Head coach Luscious Davis has brought in former South Georgia Wildcat Marcus Lindsey as well as Doug Bond.

Pass protection has been an issue for the Panthers all season.

Coach Davis says Lindsey and Bond have already been a big improvement and they will only get better as they learn the offense.

Luscious Davis said. "Now they are kind of getting the continuity together. Understanding where they are supposed to go and what one is going to do. Once we get that going you will see the difference in those guys.

Panthers host Louisiana in the SIFL playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Albany Civic Center.
