ACS offers Mimosa Trailer Park help

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A Sylvester recycling company wants to help clean up an east Albany mobile home park. After we showed all the abandoned and dilapidated mobile homes at the Mimosa Trailer Park, representatives from ACS Recycling stopped by the park to offer their help.

ACS recycles industrial products. They dropped off cards for owners who might want to sell their old trailers for scrap.

What customers can get for recycling varies, and they'll need to show the proper paperwork before the junk vehicles can be recycled.

"They need to show proof of ownership, make sure the car's registered in their name it's titled in their name we have an affidavit we fill out with all the information on the affidavit, actually take a picture of the person and the car just to make sure they are the legal owners of the automobile," said Shannon Thornton of ACS Recycling.

There is a warning posted in the office at Mimosa Trailer Park telling residents they're not permitted to have junk on their lots. Mimosa is owned by MHP, LLC in Del Ray Beach, Florida.

  • Here's how to contact ACS-

Call the office at 229-776-7178. The cell number is 229-881-9366. They are located on Pine Knoll Road, about five miles west of Sylvester on Highway 82.
