ALBANY,  GA (WALB) – A peculiar burglary happened at an Albany Dollar General store Wednesday morning. The suspect was after two specific items, toothpaste and deodorant.

Around 2:30 Albany police say a man wearing light pants, a red shirt and a mask broke into the Dollar General at 1109 West Broad by throwing a rock through the front glass door.

He stole only hygiene items before running away.

A newspaper delivery man didn't notice the broken glass until 4:30 Wednesday morning and that's when police arrived. Surveillance video should be available later.
