TIFTON, GA (WALB) –Georgia's Speaker of the House traveled to Tifton today with other Republican leaders to highlight the accomplishments of the 2010 legislative session.
Ralston and Majority Leader Jerry Keen spoke at the Tift County Chamber of Commerce building.
They said they're proud the General Assembly passed a balanced budget without increasing taxes.
They also said a new transportation plan will bring Georgia transportation policy into the 21st century and money to re-open two state crime labs will help law enforcement agencies in our area.
"We knew we had some problems, so we had to do some house cleaning and we did that by passing the ethics reform package," said David Ralston, Speaker of the House.
Ralston also went over his agenda for the next year's General Assembly session and encouraged voters to send a more conservative majority to Atlanta.
