ALBANY, GA (WALB) – 31-year old Michael Rivers showed up at the Law Enforcement Center Tuesday night shortly after we showed his picture on our six o'clock news.

Police wanted to talk to him about the shooting of 67-year old Walter Phelps.  Phelps was shot in the stomach Saturday during an attempted robbery at his business, P&P Garden Center and Hardware Store on North Slappey.  Phelps remains hospitalized in serious condition.

After investigators questioned Rivers about the crime tonight, they let him go.
