Waycross - A multi-million dollar development plan means more jobs and an improved economy for one South Georgia town.
The 7.5 million dollar plan includes renovating the old downtown Phoenix hotel into a corporate campus. Two businesses have already signed on as tenants, bringing more than 50 new jobs to the area.
"The Jones Company and Beef O'Brady's will be moving in, and we think it will be a great attraction for our seven county area," said Josh Fenn, Downtown Development Director.
Renovations will start this summer and be finished by fall 2004.
