ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Frank Crumley is Georgia president Michael
Adams' selection to serve as interim athletic director as a search
begins for a full-time replacement for Damon Evans.
Evans resigned following a DUI arrest last week.
Crumley received the promotion on Tuesday after working as an
executive associate athletic director for finance under Evans.
Adams says he wants the search committee to look first outside
current athletic association employees.
Evans became the Southeastern Conference's first black athletic
director in 2004 when he was hired by Adams to replace Vince
Dooley.
