THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) –A Thomasville man called police because he thought his house was being burglarized but ended up behind bars himself.

29-year old Bryant Sharpe came home to find lights on at his house on Andrews Street in Thomasville. He called authorities to report a possible burglary in progress.

When police arrived, they searched the house but didn't find an intruder.

What they did find was crack cocaine and over four thousand dollars in cash. Sharpe is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Drug agents say the house did appear ransacked but nothing was missing.
