ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two traffic deaths in our area both involved single vehicle crashed in Thomas and Grady Counties.

Just one hour into the holiday travel period Thursday night, a car carrying four people wrecked on Highway 111 South near Orchard Circle in Grady County. One of the passengers was killed. No word on that victim's name. GSP says charges are pending.

And a man died late Friday night when a pickup crashed on Robinson Road in Thomasville. Two people were in the truck. The driver died. We contacted GSP for information on those wrecks when we learned they're at the scene of an accident involving a Thomas County Deputy who wrecked during a high speed chase Saturday night.

Police have arrested several people and troopers are investigating the crash. No word on the deputies condition. We'll have more live, local, late breaking updates Sunday on WALB.
