ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The City of Albany's annual fireworks show will be Sunday night at the Civic Center. Crews will start preparing early Sunday morning.
The show will start about 9:30. It'll cost the city around $50,000.
"The festivities starts at five, we have vendors set-up and encourage everyone to come down. There will be plenty of parking at the civic center. We expect between 45-65 thousand people, it'll be a wonderful fireworks show, the largest in southwest Georgia," said Susan Davis, Director of Parks and Recreation.
The public is also invited to the Sherwood Freedom Festival at the Pretoria Road sports complex in Dougherty County from five to ten on July 4th.
A couple of other major fireworks shows will be in Valdosta.
You can watch the City's Spirit of America fireworks show Sunday at 9:30 from the east side of I-75 around the Valdosta Mall.
Wild Adventures will also set off fireworks Saturday and Sunday.
Motorcycle daredevil Robbie Knievel will also jump the lake Saturday night.
