THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) –Authorities in Thomas County are searching for a sex offender who failed to register as such.

30-year old Henry Joseph Lancaster, who goes by Joey, was last seen in Thomas County in 2007.

Lancaster was convicted in 2006 for child molestation involving a fourteen year old girl. He registered with the Sheriff's office in 2007 but never updated his home or work address over the next couple of years.

Now authorities are asking for the public's help in finding Lancaster.

"The information we've been able to gather shows that he has been in the Thomas and brooks county area off and on," says Lt. Steven Jones with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office.

"He's also been in an area in Seminole County, Florida. And we've even had a piece of information saying he was in Albany."

If you have any information on Joey Lancaster's whereabouts, call the Thomas County Sheriff's Office at 225-3300.
