Albany-- Police are still looking for a man who opened fire inside a moving car Sunday on Lockett Station Road, killing one man and critically injuring another.
26-year-old Kelvin Pollock remains in critical condition at an Albany Hospital. Investigators say he was shot in the back of the head with a .9 millimeter handgun, while driving his 1991 Cadillac Deville on Lockett Station Road around 2:00 Sunday afternoon.
A passenger in the front seat of the car, 26-year-old Eric Ingram died at the scene. He was also shot in the back of the head.
Police are looking for a man who they believe fired the shots from the back seat of the car. The car crashed near a church just as people were leaving a service. Witnesses report a young black male wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans was seen running from the car. Investigators are not sure why the two men were shot.
"We don't know what the motive would be. We believe they knew each other. We are looking at all angles. Drug related, or some kind of disagreement was made between these individuals, we don't know," said Lt. James Williams of APD.
Investigators say they have had a number of phone calls with leads in the shooting, but are still asking for your help. If you have any information in this murder, please call the Albany Police Department.
