Nichols gets record win at AMS - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

HAMPTON, GA (WALB) - Albany driver Skip Nichols was denied a record breaking win by inches last week at the Atlanta Motor Speedway's Thursday Thunder Series.

Nichols didn't take any chances this week.

Nichols took the lead on lap five and cruised to another victory in the Legends Masters division.

The win is 28th career for Nichols in the AMS Thursday Thunder Series.

Nichols passes Doug Stevens as the all-time winningest Thursday Thunder driver at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
