    Thomasville Police Officers responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting Sunday night. Employees said the man pulled knife and began swing it at them. He then ran to a vehicle parked in the parking lot and attempted to leave however, but the car would not start, so he took off running.

Albany- The One Georgia Authority announced its latest awards Friday. The Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority will get a $500,000 loan to help build a 120-room Hilton Garden Inn Hotel as a part of the Downtown Riverfront Center.

A one-million dollar grant will help pay to build the American Signature Bedding Manufacturing Plant in the Pecan Grove Industrial Park.

Dougherty, Lee, Baker, and Terrell counties will also share a grant to research the economic impact of nature-based tourism.
