ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Saturday Albany police held their second class on firearms safety.

With classroom instruction and some time at the range gun owners bit more comfortable with their weapons.

Trenekia Williams was one of 15-people in this class and until today had never pulled the trigger on her gun.

"I have a .38 and it's a semi-automatic, I've had it for four years I learned how to caulk it back or shot it," said Williams.

Everyone who took the class received a gun lock.

There's already a waiting list of 30 people for the next session.

To sign up for the next class, contact Albany police department and ask for community relations.
