THOMAS COUNTY, GA (WALB) – A Thomas County man is now indicted for murder in the death of his nephew.
72-year-old Byron Griner is charged with shooting and killing 39-year-old nephew John Mark Morris, April 1st.
The shooting happened in the backyard of Morris' mobile home on Stewart Road.
Griner admits he shot Morris three times in the back but says it was self defense.
Griner remains in jail without bond.
