ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Kids had a stompin' good time in Chehaw's Swamp Stomp Camp. From Bugs and Slugs to Pond Scum 101, kids got down and dirty this week.
The skeleton crew made their own fossils. They're using coffee grounds to create impressions of prehistoric animals.
They also spent time digging up a fake skeleton and reconstructing it like a real archeologists would.
"I just think it's great for kids to go outside and get dirty and have fun so it's wonderful when they can do it in such an amazing facility like Chehaw, and be able to look and learn at all the animals and things that are around them," said Instructor Jackie Entz.
The Swamp Stomp camp is for kids ages 4 to 12. It continues through July 23.
