The Lee County Sheriff's Department is now working with the Albany Crime stoppers. The Lee County Sheriff's Department asked to join the Albany Crime-stoppers program. The Sheriff's Department believes it will be a helpful tool in closing some cases.
ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Sherwood Pictures will wrap up shooting its new movie Saturday.
For about five weeks, crews have been all over Albany shooting scenes for Sherwood's 4th movie, 'Courageous.'
Some of the final shooting, scenes that looked pretty exciting, were shot Friday on Lily Pond Road in South Dougherty County.
"We're very grateful for Albany, we've featured so many aspects of Albany, so it's been wonderful- our home town for Sherwood pictures- but at the same time we love to show the world, uh, the down home, warm side of Albany, and, and it's been a real privilege to show the city," said Director Alex Kendrick.
'Courageous' is about law officers fighting gang crime who discover the importance of fatherhood for kids. The movie opens in theaters next year.
