QUITMAN, GA (WALB) –A Coolidge man is charged in a shooting and carjacking in Quitman.

Thomas County authorities picked up 17-year old Lavernell Lamons at his home in Coolidge around 7 o'clock Thursday morning.

He's charged with aggravated assault party to the crime and is in the Brooks County Jail.

Police are looking for two more suspects they think stole Tony Denard's Chevy Tahoe in Quitman Monday night.

Denard was shot three times during that carjacking.
