BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) –A police officer serving a subpoena in Bainbridge made an impromptu drug bust.

When the officer knocked on a door, it opened and he found 26-year old Martez Terrell James packaging marijuana bags in front of a 6-year old girl.

The girl's mother, 23-year old Deborah Lyn Morris was a few feet away making dinner in the kitchen.

Both James and Morris were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and child endangerment.
