BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) –A police officer serving a subpoena in Bainbridge made an impromptu drug bust.

When the officer knocked on a door, it opened and he found 26-year old Martez Terrell James packaging marijuana bags in front of a 6-year old girl.

The girl's mother, 23-year old Deborah Lyn Morris was a few feet away making dinner in the kitchen.

Both James and Morris were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and child endangerment.

The little girl is in the custody of her grandmother.
